Help the Friends with a Donation of Books

Your donations of books are accepted all year long!

Our activities are, of course, centered around books.  Each year, we contribute over $50,000 to support the continuing needs of the Brown County Libraries, and a significant share of that comes from our fundraising activities such as our Big Book Sales of used books.  In addition, new books are needed as gifts to kids of families in need through our Give-A-Kid-A-Book campaign.  We invite you to help us with your donations of books.

Donate Gently Used Books & Other Materials to the BIG Book Sale

Donated items intended for the Book Sale are first reviewed by library staff as possible additions to the library's collection. Items not added to the library's collection are then turned over to the Friends for inclusion in the BIG Book Sale.

Our Big Book Sales are the primary fundraisers for the Friends of the Brown County Library. All proceeds from the sales benefit the Brown County Library and are used to fund library equipment, programs and materials.

Bring Donated Books to the Library

Books can be dropped off any time of year during open hours.  Be sure to let Library staff know that the books are for the BIG Book Sale.

Small donations - Up to four (4) boxes or bags of books may be dropped off inside any Brown County Library location.

Large donations - Five (5) or more boxes or bags of books should be dropped off at the Central Library.  Please call the library at 920-448-5825 in advance to make arrangements.  Morning drop-offs are usually best.
