The Friends of the Brown County Library is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that recognizes and works to improve the vital role the Brown County Library plays in making sure that local residents have lifelong access to these resources.

Since its founding in 1963, the members, volunteers, and donors of the Friends have helped guarantee the continued success of the 130 year old Brown County Library system, which includes the Central Library in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the eight branches in Green Bay and surrounding Brown County communities,  and the traveling bookmobile.

The Friends are best known for our annual literacy campaigns (Give-a-Kid-a-Book and Born to Read), our Big Book Sale fundraisers, and our numerous sponsorships of library and literacy events throughout the year.  We welcome you to check us out, and invite you to join us as we work to maintain our Brown County Library as a vital community resource.
